MuniNet Launches Effort to Identify State Investor Relations Content

In general, the municipal market has lagged behind its corporate counterpart when it comes to investor relations.  But times are changing.  Municipal investors are being increasingly treated like corporate bondholders, with broader access to financial reports, management commentary, as well as performance and accountability measures. 

MuniNet Guide is pleased to announce the launch of a new content tab - “Finance” - on its state landing pages, with a similar feature on the way for cities.

By clicking on the links within this tab, visitors can quickly access state Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports as well as Investor Relations and Bond Disclosure content.  Disclosure materials range from ratings information to official statements for bond offerings and ongoing disclosure as mandated by SEC Rule 15c-2-12.   

MuniNet has spent the past several months collecting links to this content.  Not all states provide the same financial or disclosure content on their websites, but we have made every effort to identify the relevant information that each state makes available online. 

Back in 1996, when MuniNet Guide launched the premier issue of its then-monthly newsletter, we saluted several state and local websites as pioneers in establishing an online presence.  Since then, we have seen exponential growth in the number and quality of municipal websites.
