Schoolmatters.com Offers Plethora of Education Data

The largest and most powerful database of its kind available to the public, SchoolMatters.com is a new online service that provides comparative student achievement information, financial data and demographic statistics for schools and districts across the nation. The site was recently launched by The National Education Data Partnership, which includes Standard & Poor’s. In addition to comprehensive data, the web site also includes analytical tools and analyses provided by S & P. The service was designed to provide a common platform to compare educational data, to help identify effective practices and strategies to improve student performance, and to help educators and policymakers make more informed spending decisions.
