Phoenix Prepares for Special Bond Election on March 14
The influx of population that Phoenix, Arizona has enjoyed over the past several years has resulted in some growing pains now surfacing in the form of huge infrastructure needs. To finance these improvements, the city will be asking voters to approve seven propositions - totalling over $875 million in bonds - in a special election on March 14.
One of the seven propositions pertains to police/fire and homeland security improvements, a measure we expect to see more local governments pursue in light of recent natural disasters in addition to the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
