Hospital Compare is a new web site, developed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services along with a consortium of other organizations, that provides comparative hospital quality measures, patient tools and directory information for hospitals across the country. Data obtained through this site can help show how well various hospitals in a given area care for adult patients with specific conditions. This resource is designed for use by patients, physicians, and professional organizations with an interest in hospital quality of care issues.
